GUEST SERVICES AGENT (FULL TIME)

Job Summary Full time Reservation Agent at AT&T Hotel and Conference Center, 1900 University Avenue, Austin, TX 78705. Location and Schedule Location: AT&T Hotel and Conference Center, Austin, TX 78705. Schedule: Monday through Friday or Tuesday through Saturday. Hours may vary. Further details upon interview. Compensation Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour. Requirements Previous front‑desk or reservation experience preferred. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation. Certain positions may require Florida Level 2 background screening. Responsibilities Completes the registration/check‑in process by inputting and retrieving information from a computer system, confirming pertinent information. Ensures rooms and services are correctly accounted for within the guest statement. Assists guests with check‑out payments or charges, accepting and recording vouchers, credit, traveler’s checks, and other forms of payment. Balances and drops receipts according to accounting specifications. Provides guests with information about the facility, services, and amenities. Receives special requests from guests, responds appropriately or forwards them to appropriate team members. Promptly answers telephone and email inquiries, retrieves and forwards messages to/from guests, and retrieves mail, packages, and other special items for customers as requested. Fields and resolves guest complaints or escalates for resolution to the appropriate department. Assists guests in emergency situations. Maintains adequate supplies and functional equipment at the Front Desk. Performs any special assignment deemed by the GM, Guest Services manager, or Manager on Duty. Answers all incoming reservation calls, providing prompt and courteous service. Books all group and transient room reservations following proper procedures through Opera, promoting hotel services, amenities, and upselling products to the guests. Completes the reservation process by inputting all guest information into a computer system, confirming arrival dates, number of nights, and room rate. Performs appropriate selection of rate type depending on guest needs and the current sales strategy, delivering a confirmation number for all reservations made. Performs other duties as assigned.
