Job Description\n TalentBurst, Inc is seeking a travel nurse RN Float Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Santa Fe, New Mexico.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Float\n Discipline: RN\n Start Date: ASAP\n Duration: 10 weeks\n 36 hours per week\n Shift: 12 hours\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n Travel: RN - Float I \n Santa Fe, NM\n 13 weeks \n SHIFT: DAYS 7AM - 7PM\n START: ASAP REQUIRED Certification/Licenses\n Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license\n TNCC Certification required\n CPIDE (CPI/De-Escalation)\n NIH Certification\n BLS Certification from AHA required\n ACLS Certification from AHA required\n PALS Certification from AHA required\n Additional Certifications may be required based on units where floated\n Summary:\n The Registered Nurse is a clinical practitioner who coordinates and implements patient care specific to the age of the patient population served on the assigned units. He/she ensures that quality care is provided in an efficient and safe manner, consistent with the unit's standards of care. He/she demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the unit and organization. Demonstrates quality and effectiveness in work habits and clinical practice. Treats staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect.\n Responsibilities:\n Obtains and records initial assessment and establishes priorities according to patient age, symptoms and psychosocial needs.\n Re-assesses patients systematically to identify progress and trends that require intervention.\n Develops and implements a measurable individualized plan of care for the patient within the time frame established by Nursing Standards of Care.\n Makes comprehensive nursing decisions based on the interpretation of facts and evaluations of patient outcome; modifies the plan of care based upon the evaluations.\n Participates in patient/significant other health education and discharge planning.\n Implements and documents timely interventions appropriate to patient needs.\n Evaluates the plan of care.\n Performs various Point of Care testing procedures.\n Staff Responsibilities:\n Utilizes effective communication strategies, which result in intended outcomes.\n Delegates unit work assignments appropriately to ensure completion of required patient care support activities.\n Coordinates team assignments and makes adjustments based upon patient and unit needs; follows up on delegated patient care tasks for quality and completeness.\n Utilizes the appropriate chain of command for resolution of difficult issues.\n Participates in orientation of new staff/students on the unit.\n Functions as a resource to visitors, physicians and staff; greeting them promptly and courteously.\n Promotes a positive work environment as evidenced by demonstrating a professional, supportive attitude for the unit staff.\n Being receptive and responsive to new ideas.\n Participates in the unit's growth and development through various mechanisms to improve organizational performance.\n Collaborates by working with others to achieve unit and organizational goals.\n Customer Relations:\n Exhibits behaviors and actions that create a high level of patient/customer satisfaction, positive patient/customer relations, and respect for the patient's/customer's rights needs, and confidentiality.\n Demonstrates effective communication and human relations skills, which promote harmony and teamwork.\n Presents behaviors and actions that maintain the hospital's credibility, integrity, and positive image.\n Demonstrates behaviors and actions that support the mission, goals, and operations of the hospital and which contribute to continuous service improvement.\n Other Responsibilities:\n Assists with special projects as assigned.\n Accurately interprets and communicates Human Resources Policies and Procedures.\n Exhibits flexibility, adapting readily to changes in the work environment or work schedule.\n Maintains a positive attitude, even during periods of stress.\n Assumes responsibility for professional growth and development.\n Complies and adheres to all CSV policies.\n Maintains positive attendance and communicates in advance any absence from work.\n Adheres to all patient and environmental safety policies and procedures.\n Requirements:\n Education\n Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Nursing.\n Certification/Licenses\n Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license\n BLS Certification required\n ACLS Certification required\n Additional Certifications may be required based on units where floated\n Skills\n Current knowledge and skills appropriate to age/type of patient population served\n Knowledgeable and sensitive to patients' rights in the delivery of care\n Communicates in a clear concise manner appropriate to the developmental age of patient.\n Work Schedule:\n 7AM - 7PM\n Work Type:\n Full Time\n #ZRHC\n TalentBurst, Inc Job ID #26-25796.
