In this role, you will be responsible for defining mechanical interface controls, releasing integration assembly drawings, and coordinating design solutions alongside other Flight Systems product teams. You will be expected to develop the mechanical interface baseline and present product designs to customers. Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail are critical to being successful in this position.Basic Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related STEM fieldMinimum of 5 years of relevant experienceMust be a U.S. citizenActive Secret clearance at time of application with an investigation date within the last 6 yearsThe ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP)Experience performing CAD modeling with design tools such as Siemens NX or similarExperience performing mechanical design efforts on MILCON, major infrastructure/building projects, or Aerospace and Defense programs.Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of tools - Project, PowerPoint, Excel, WordAbility to understand and interpret requirementsPreferred Qualifications:Able to work independently, function in a dynamic environment, and be flexible to changing directionExcellent interpersonal, written communication, and presentation skills, including the ability to clearly and succinctly communicate complex conceptsExposure to missiles program requirements & with propulsionProficient with 3D design/2D drawing CAD in NXProficient with PDM and/or CPLMProficient with GD&T and ASME Y14.5-2009Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 - $134,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
