Registered Nurse (RN) Endoscopy PRN

Registered Nurse Endo - PRN Schedule Schedule: 6:30-7:00 AM start time with rotating call. Call Requirement: Must be able to arrive within 30 minutes. More about our team Must be able to meet a 30 minute Call Time. Our Endoscopy unit provides care for a wide range of procedures, including: Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) Colonoscopy Sigmoidoscopy Bronchoscopy GI bleed procedures The unit typically operates 1-2 procedure rooms several days per week out of the Operating Rooms, maintaining a 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratio to ensure high-quality, focused patient care. How you will contribute Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment. Documents patient care given. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family. Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. American Heart Association Basic Life Support. Experience in acute care hospital, preferred. American Heart Association ACLS within 6 months of hire.
