JOB SUMMARY: The Associate Program Manager is responsible for executing customer strategies related to one or more customers, covering all products and programs from new product introduction through volume production. He or she must achieve high customer satisfaction, drive profitable business relationships, grow sales, and lead customer focus teams to ensure commitments are met. This role requires a background within an Electronics Manufacturing Service (EMS) or Contract Manufacturer (CM). RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads the Customer Focus Team (CFT). Prioritizes and monitors all CFT activities. Acts as the day‑to‑day customer point of contact and manages resolution, ensuring overall health of the relationship.ENSURES SUCCESSFUL NEW PRODUCT INTRODUCTION
Executes NPI standard processes and understands & monitors S&OP. Identifies & secures skills needed for effective transitions. Sets expectations with customers, manages pricing, ECO prioritization, and presents new pricing using contracts and pricing models. Negotiates to successful completion and manages recurring pricing activities. Monitors technical, scheduling, financial, and quality metrics, identifies deviations, determines causes, and takes corrective action. Schedules Executive Business Reviews (EBR) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR), ensuring attendees are prepared and agendas are aligned with customer priorities. Provides timely notification to manufacturing and global program managers of critical issues and actions taken. Drives continuous improvement objectives, builds and delivers schedules, and works with supply chain and operations to meet build and delivery targets. Collaborates with SCA to resolve excess and obsolete inventory issues and recovers associated costs. Manages customer demand per contract, inventory objectives, and capacity, communicating adjustments to close gaps between PO, forecast, and benchmark commitments. Tracks and reports on‑time delivery, monitors revenue plans, and ensures KPI adherence.UNDERSTANDS CONTRACTUAL OBLIGATIONS
Manages flexibility allowances, pull‑ins/push‑outs, and cancellations. Handles payment terms, invoicing, and potential penalties. Communicates cost reduction targets and oversights to organization. Manages excess/obsolete terms, recovery, and escalation paths. Manages warranty terms, recalls, and epidemic failure qualifiers. Ensures contract execution meets Benchmark obligations and communicates requirements internally. Conducts monthly Program Reviews using Benchmark processes. Executes customer quotation requests, ensures accuracy, validates quotes against actual costs, and protects gross margin. Coordinates with procurement to develop supply chain strategy aligned with customer contract and site goals. Identifies inventory exposure risks, coordinates reserves, and manages inventory days of sales. Establishes standard part costs and ensures positive price variances at the point of sale. Reviews supply chain data (lead‑time, MOQ) to evaluate inventory exposure. Determines customer responsibility for negative PPV or procurement costs and collects when appropriate. Understands DFx philosophy and coordinates with Benchmark functions. Receives and distributes customer documentation packages and quality data. Captures and reports ECO impacts to customers. Monitors DPPM, DPU, or DPMO with the CFT to stay within contract limits. Leads root‑cause analysis, corrective actions, and CAPA to reduce escapes and improve quality. Participates in MRB activities for rapid resolution. Adapts quickly to change and embraces new ways of working. Applies problem‑solving tools (root cause, 8D, 5 Why, 6Ms) daily. Negotiates mutually beneficial agreements, demonstrating strong negotiation ability. Understands and applies OI and RONA levers. Recruits, interviews, hires team members, and mentors subordinates. Creates and manages succession plans. Sets clear metrics and objectives for individuals and teams, drives continuous improvement, and promotes a lean culture. Reduces cost through process and system improvements.OTHER INFORMATION
Customer Complexity: Manages challenging relationships; may require goods manufacturing or executive involvement, typically fewer part numbers and lower change propensity. Discretion: Decisions or failures can jeopardize the site’s quarterly revenue or operating income. Interaction: Interacts regularly with customers and functional peer managers; leads cooperative effort among CFT members. Supervision: Does not have direct reports but may mentor newly hired PMs.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

4‑year degree in engineering discipline or business. Experience within an Electronics Manufacturing Service (EMS) or Contract Manufacturer (CM). Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Team’s conferencing software. Experience supporting a global business operation. Enthusiastic and motivational communicator with multicultural experience.
