Our focus is on designing, manufacturing and distributing products for automotive, diesel, power-sports and specialty filter markets.We are excited to announce that we’re hiring an Operations Manager for our Albion, IL location. Reporting to the Plant Manager, the primary function of this role is to lead daily activities, improve safety, quality, & productivity, and manage resource allocation at our air filter manufacturing plant.Key ResponsibilitiesLead, motivate, and support a large team within a time-sensitive and demanding environmentMaintains a safety-first culture throughout facility. Works with EH&S staff to establish and ensure implementation of safety standardsEnsure that operational activities remain on time and within budget and facility objectives are metMonitors demand and capacity information to maintain appropriate hourly labor levelsDevelops systems and processes that track and optimize safety, quality, cost, and delivery performanceEffectively communicates at all levels and supports communication throughout the facility.Establishes goals, conducts performance appraisals and provides coaching and guidance for direct reportsAssists Plant Manager in the development of budgetsDevelops and supports programs that provide training and motivation, resolution of employee problems, and coordination of work efforts.Supports and ensures enforcement of company policies and proceduresPerforms other duties, as assigned.Education, Skills, and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, or Engineering or equivalent in education and experienceMinimum of 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environmentPrior experience as a Production Manager, Operations Manager, or Plant Manager - preferredWorking knowledge of manufacturing and quality systems – Lean, Six Sigma, IATF, etcKnowledge of automotive air and cabin air filter manufacturing – preferredStrong leadership, conflict management, problem solving, and communication skillsPremium Guard, Inc is an Equal Opportunity Employer #J-18808-Ljbffr Premium-Guard-Incorporated
