Refrigerated/Dairy Buyer
Just Food Co-op in Northfield, MN is looking to hire a full-time Refrigerated/Dairy Buyer to assist in ordering dairy and non-dairy products for our grocery department. Are you service-oriented? Do you want to work for a welcoming company that offers flexible scheduling? If so, please read on!
This grocery store position earns a competitive wage between $17.00 - $19.00 per hour. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Refrigerated/Dairy Buyer
A Refrigerated/Dairy Buyer is reasonable for placing the day-to-day orders with established suppliers within the guidelines set forth by the Grocery Manager. You will assist the Grocery Manager in building relationships with suppliers and wholesalers to secure high quality products in alignment with department objectives for sales, margin, and customer service. This role requires careful attention to product out of dates to ensure minimum spoilage. You will ensure all coolers are replenished and rotated several times daily.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of 1 year of previous purchasing experience.
- Ability to withstand cold temperatures for extended periods of time with appropriate attire.
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs. throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, and climb ladders.
- Ability to reach above shoulder height occasionally.
WORK SCHEDULE
7 am to 3:30 pm weekdays and weekend availability
