About Lume ( Lume is doing for data what Facebook did for humans - connect them effortlessly. The amount of data within companies is growing exponentially and is increasingly more siloed with the proliferation of vertical specific SAAS applications and unique client formats. Lume solves this problem by leveraging AI to act as a translation layer to enable your data to flow between systems seamlessly. You give us your desired schema, and we do the rest from mapping, classifying, aggregating, and other data transformation tasks to fit your incoming data. We have developed novel strategies leveraging LLMs that stemmed from our NLP research during our graduate degrees at Stanford University. About the Role Fully automating data transformation and data modeling has been an unsolved problem in technology since the invention of the database; therefore, it is technically challenging. It requires a deep understanding of scalable data infrastructure, cutting-edge AI models, and intuitive user interfaces. We are looking for curious, independent thinkers that are willing to join us to tackle these challenges to empower the industry. In This Role, You Will Work effortlessly across the full-stack building highly scalable distributed solutions to enable low latency rendering of large datasets. Architect and implement direct customer features and workflows end-to-end, ensuring a seamless user experience. Lead performance optimization improvements in areas such as latency, storage, and scalability, identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions to enhance system performance. Have extreme ownership: work alongside the founders to shape product direction, have direct relationships with customers, and help build out our team. In This Role, You Will Thrive If You Have experience building and deploying data intensive web applications into a production environment and are familiar with the advantages of the technology and its limitations. Can identify the most important problems, intuit whether off-the-shelf or in-house solutions are needed, learn the knowledge gaps you are missing for the problem, and stay scrappy to execute the task until it is solved without explicit direction. Feel comfortable sharing feedback early and often, as well as receive feedback. Have at least 3 years of professional full-stack experience with React and Typescript frontend and Python backend. Location We are located in Manhattan, NY, working in person 5 days a week from our beautiful downtown office.
