Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Project Manager who embodies our core values and has a strong background in preconstruction and estimating. The Project Manager will oversee project execution, coordinating all aspects to ensure timely and successful delivery. Responsibilities include managing project schedules, budgets, and resources; conducting on‑site inspections; and managing operations. The candidate will work in collaboration with our team to ensure quality outcomes. This is a full‑time, on‑site role located in San Diego, CA. Key Responsibilities Project Leadership: Oversee all phases of construction projects, including preconstruction planning, estimating, execution, and closeout. Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Preconstruction & Estimating: Manage preconstruction activities, including budgeting, cost estimation, scheduling, and resource allocation. Collaborate with clients, architects, and subcontractors to define project scope and deliver accurate estimates. Self‑Performing Capabilities: Utilize our in‑house teams for painting, tile, and flooring to enhance project quality and efficiency. Coordinate with the team to ensure seamless integration and exceptional craftsmanship. Communication: Serve as the primary liaison between the company, clients, and stakeholders. Facilitate transparent and effective communication to keep all parties informed and aligned throughout the project lifecycle. Team Management: Lead and inspire project teams, including subcontractors and internal staff. Foster a work environment characterized by respect, collaboration, and professional growth with diverse teams. Problem‑Solving: Proactively address and resolve project challenges. Implement effective solutions to minimize disruptions and maintain project momentum. Compliance & Quality: Ensure adherence to industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and uphold high-quality and compliance standards. Qualifications Experience: Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in general contracting, with a focus on preconstruction and estimating. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred. Skills: Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proven track record of successful project delivery and client satisfaction. Advanced knowledge of construction processes, estimating techniques, and project management software. Experience working with self‑performing trades, particularly in painting, tile, and flooring. Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
