Employment Status Per Diem Overview Shift’s Available: Variable Employment Type: Per Diem (PD/PRN) Hours: Variable Location: St Joseph Medical Center – Kansas City, MO We are seeking a CT Technologist, internally referred to as a Radiologic Technologist II (Rad Tech). As a CT Technologist you will specialize and be responsible for operating CT scanners and X-ray machines to produce cross-sectional images of patient’s internal organs and tissues. You will assist in diagnosing medical conditions and the treatment plan process, by producing high-quality images that help healthcare providers make informed decisions about our patient care. This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRN as needed. Responsibilities To perform duties in this position you must be CT certified and certified in one other modality. Prepare patients and ensure patients are properly positioned on the Computer Tomography (CT) table and explain the procedure to them with empathy, address any concerns or questions they may have Operate CT scanners and/or X-ray machines to obtain images of the targeted body parts, which may involve adjusting the CT scanner settings to optimize image quality while minimizing radiation exposure, radiation safety at all times Monitor our patients, as a CT Technologist ensure their comfort and safety throughout the procedure Assist other radiologists, as you will work closely with them, who interpret the images you produced by the CT exam you may also assist in administering contrast agents or perform certain procedures Accountable for the quality assurance of CT scanners / X-ray machines to ensure they function properly and produce accurate images Responsible for maintaining radiologic supplies, making sure the equipment is in good operating order, and following protocols regarding infection control and hygiene Qualifications Licensure as required by State Effective July 1, 2017appropriate national certifications in two modalities required Current BCLS (AHA) Must be familiar with State and Federal regulations Proficient computer skills One year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferred Here are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare: Competitive compensation Medical insurance benefit plan 401K Full benefits at Prime Healthcare: Employment Status Per Diem Shift Variable Equal Employment Opportunity Company is an equal employment opportunity employer.
