Site Manager, Life Science Job Overview The Site Manager will direct company programs and implement company policy to ensure total compliance with contract duties between the company and customers. Roles & Responsibilities Plan and develop work schedules to ensure adequate service. Prepare schedules for service personnel and assign personnel to routes. Inspect and evaluate the physical condition of the establishment for program compliance (safety, quality, service). Audit and maintain inventories of supplies and equipment. Investigate and promote improved equipment and methods. Review customer requests for service to ascertain causes and types of malfunction. Implement organization policies and goals. Analyze and facilitate budget requests to identify areas for cost reductions. Assist in promoting services to develop new markets and increase market share. Inspect plant and evaluate use of space and facilities. Assist with plans, budgets, and schedule modifications including cost estimates, bid sheets and contracts. Ensure the site meets budget goals on a sustaining basis. Assist in the development of long‑range plans, conceptual designs, and capital outlay requirements. Coordinate program specifications, proposal and contract requirements, and associated documents. Compile data for preparing estimates. Maintain and report on financial aspects such as labor hours, overhead, supplies, expenses, billing, and forecasting. Maintain a safe work environment for self and employees. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations (FLSA, OSHA, ADA, etc.). Direct supervisory management engaged in support of facilities programs. Act as liaison between the company, customers, clients, employees, and subcontractors. Maintain contract and contractor status databases. Review all correspondence concerning contractors and respond appropriately. Establish and maintain contact with contractors to ensure smooth contract process. Conduct and attend meetings to communicate consistently with customers, clients, and employees. Assist with human‑resource concerns and issues. Travel is required for this position. Qualifications Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, communications, or a related field from a four‑year college or university with 2–5 years of experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver’s license may be required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Multilingual preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Customer service, problem solving, time management, project management, planning, presentation, interviewing, coaching, and training skills. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer skills. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers, employees, and the public. Supervisory Responsibilities Carry out management responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws. Interview, hire, plan, assign, and direct work; conduct performance evaluations; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems. Ensure employees are properly trained on tasks and safety requirements. Physical Demands & Work Environment The employee is frequently required to sit, talk or listen and must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. The work environment involves regular sitting and handling of equipment.
