Central Engineering is KLA's largest engineering organization comprised of 9 Centers-of-Excellence (CoE) in various disciplines applied across all product groups in the company. These CoE include Handling & Automation, Precision Motion Control, Sensors & Image Acquisition, Platform Design, and Packaging Engineering, among others. With a focus on digital threads across the product lifecycle, this role connects engineering, IT, and product teams to improve visibility, execution, and data continuity.In this role, you’ll coordinate programs that integrate key engineering and program management platforms into a cohesive development ecosystem.! You’ll play a hands‑on role in crafting how products move from concept to delivery, balancing technical depth, cross‑team collaboration, and real‑world adoption.Program Execution & Cross‑Functional CoordinationDrive and support multiple multi-functional digital transformation programs within the engineering organizationBuild and maintain program plans, schedules, dependencies, and risk registersTrack progress against milestones and proactively communicate status, risks, and trade‑offs to stakeholdersCoordinate work across engineering teams, IT partners, tool owners, and external vendors as neededDigital Thread & Engineering Tool IntegrationContribute to initiatives that establish and strengthen digital threads across requirements, system architecture, develop, verification, manufacturing, and serviceSupport coordination of integration efforts between systems such as CAD, PDM, PLM, MBSE, and ALM / program management platformsPartner with technical leads to understand data flows, interfaces, and integration constraintsEnsure program work align with broader engineering architecture, process, and scalability objectivesEngineering Process EngagementEngage directly with engineering teams to understand current‑state workflows and identify improvement opportunitiesHelp translate engineering and business needs into clear program scopes, requirements, and delivery plansParticipate in working sessions, reviews, and planning forums with cross‑disciplinary teamsBalance standardization goals with practical adoption considerations across diverse product teamsGovernance, Risk & Change ManagementSupport program governance structures, decision tracking, and issue partner concern pathsIdentify and manage risks related to technical complexity, interdependencies, and organizational changeAssist with rollout and adoption activities, including documentation, communication, and feedback mechanismsRequired QualificationsMinimum of 5+ years of demonstrated ability in technical or engineering program management, with a strong understanding of engineering product development lifecyclesExperience supporting programs involving engineering tools and platforms, such as CAD/PDM, PLM, MBSE or requirements management, and program or ALM toolsProven track record to work effectively with both technical contributors and business team members, with strong organizational, communication, and execution skillsPreferred QualificationsExperience supporting engineering digital transformation or tool/process change initiativesFamiliarity with systems engineering or MBSE conceptsExperience partnering with IT, enterprise applications, or engineering infrastructure teamsBackground in hardware, systems, or multidisciplinary product development environmentsExposure to organizational change or phased tool adoptionMinimum QualificationsDoctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 yearsBase Pay Range: $105,900.00 - $180,000.00 AnnuallyPrimary Location: USA-MI-Ann Arbor-KLAKLA’s total rewards package for employees may also include participation in performance incentive programs and eligibility for additional benefits including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, life, and other voluntary benefits, 401(K) including company matching, employee stock purchase program (ESPP), student debt assistance, tuition reimbursement program, development and career growth opportunities and programs, financial planning benefits, wellness benefits including an employee assistance program (EAP), paid time off and paid company holidays, and family care and bonding leave.Interns are eligible for some of the benefits listed.
