Clamp Truck Driver

Pay rate: Starting rate is $23.50/hour. After 90 days/job qualification review, pay increases to $26.59/hour.

Sign-on and retention bonus: $500 after 90 days, $500 after 6 months.

Category/shift: Hourly full-time Monday-Friday / some Saturdays.

2nd shift (3pm-11pm).

Physical location: St. Louis container plant.

1201 North Highway Drive.

Fenton, Missouri 63026.

The job you will perform:

• Locate and transport roll stock to the corrugator and perform other service functions to support corrugator operations.
• Load/unload rail cars/semi-trucks.
• Report to the corrugator shift supervisor for the shift to which they are assigned.
• Follow all safety rules and procedures.
• Orienting/turning roll stock at the direction of the machine operator.
• Maintaining organized in-process inventories.
• Communicating line-ups to other shifts.
• Conveying nonessential stock to alternate storage areas as needed.
• Keeping the supervisor informed of any problems and/or unusual situations.
• Maintaining work areas to plant standards of housekeeping.
• Maintaining teamwork with corrugator machine crews and other associates.
• Following prescribed practices in all circumstances.
• Performing other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Cross training as needed.

The qualifications we are looking for:

• Forklift/roll clamp experience a plus, but will provide on job training.
• Stable work history.
• Excellent attendance.
• Positive attitude and a desire to produce quality work in a team environment.

The skills you will bring:

• Ability to perform the duties/responsibilities of the job with or without accommodations.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to accurately read a measuring tape and ruler.
• Ability to use basic shop math.
• Ability to learn, follow instructions, ask questions and work effectively as a member of a team.
