The Offsite Referral and Pre-Certification Specialist is responsible for completing all referrals and pre-certification requirements according to established protocols. Responsibilities Obtains referral and/or precerts for patients for internal and external appointments and/or orders. Communicates information pertaining to referrals and/or precerts to patients, external medical offices, and internal staff as per established protocol. Performs other related duties. Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent. No experience is required; 1 to 3 years of experience is preferred. Experience in processing prior-authorizations and referrals. Understands requirements for Internal WMG referrals as well as Outgoing Referrals. Understands the concept of PCP and referral protocols as defined by Insurance Carriers. Compensation The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $20.6 - $28.912 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need.
