TheChronic Michigan (The Chronic) is a local independent recreational (adult use 21+) store that is part of a Michigan-based vertically-integrated group. The store’s name is inspired by the driven influencers and artists who helped create and disseminate cannabis culture to everyday people through their craft.

What You’ll Do

As a part-time Sales Associate in our Muskegon, MI store, you’ll help customers find the right cannabis products while keeping every interaction accurate, compliant, and welcoming. This role exists to deliver a smooth, informed shopping experience and support daily retail sales.

Key responsibilities include greeting and guiding customers, asking the right questions to match needs with products, educating on strains and current offerings, and using upselling and cross-selling techniques. You’ll run transactions with strong cash handling and POS system proficiency, verify IDs and purchase limits, and keep displays stocked, labeled, and organized.

Required skills/qualifications:
- Cannabis product knowledge and attention to detail
- Compliance with state cannabis regulations
- Customer service excellence and strong communication
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment

On the Floor

You’ll start your shift with a quick huddle on promos, inventory notes, and compliance updates, then head out to greet shoppers. As a Sales Associate, you’ll bounce between answering questions, keeping the sales floor easy to navigate, and jumping on the register when lines build. Throughout the day you’ll stay organized—straightening displays, doing small restocks, and checking in with teammates so the pace stays smooth. Before you clock out, you’ll help reset the space for the next crew and make sure everything is ready for the next wave.
