By connecting with The Pivot Group Network, you position yourself for roles that match your background and aspirations.Key ResponsibilitiesSets up and operates conventional and computer numerical control (CNC) machines.Interprets blueprints, sketches, and 3D models to determine dimensions and tolerances.Fabricates, modifies, and repairs a variety of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.Selects appropriate materials, tools, and machining methods for each project.Performs precision measurements using a range of inspection equipment.Troubleshoots and resolves issues related to tool performance and manufacturing processes.Maintains and sharpens cutting tools to ensure optimal performance.Recommended QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent; completion of a formal apprenticeship program or equivalent experience preferred5+ years of experience as a Tool Maker in a manufacturing environmentProficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawingsStrong knowledge of various machining processes, including milling, turning, grinding, and EDMExpertise in the use of precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers, calipers, and optical comparatorsAbility to work independently and troubleshoot complex tooling issuesBonus QualificationsAdditional certifications or trainingJob Titles That Should ApplyTool and Die Maker, Die Maker, Mold Maker, Precision Machinist, CNC Tool Maker, Journeyman Tool Maker, Prototype Tool Maker, Metal Fabricator, Machine Builder, Tooling TechnicianWhy The Pivot Group NetworkThe Pivot Group Network was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
