The Maintenance Mechanic provides on-site technical support by trouble shooting and repairing equipment and performing routine preventative maintenance. This role diagnoses technical problems or errors and works to determine proper solutions. The Maintenance Mechanic also manages on-site activities such as installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair tasks. Able to recognize equipment operational deficiencies and make recommendations for repairs. Dimensions of Position: . Trouble shoot problems of mechanical & Hydraulic systems Written & verbal communication to obtain solution Implement solution & follow up on solution outcomes Complies with quality management system including adherence to procedures and development of Product Documentation for safe and effective Assembly and Use. Qualifications & Experience: High school diploma is required. 2 years assembly experience or industrial maintenance experience. Steel industry experience is a plus. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and blueprints. Good mechanical aptitude to evaluate mechanical problems, outlines requirements, plan projects, and solve problems. Basic working knowledge of basic wiring, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, electricity, and electronics Basic mechanical skills: motor replacement, mechanical part replacement, testing of repaired equipment for the service of associated refractory application equipment. Requires good reading, writing, and mechanical aptitude. Basic computer skills Physical Requirements: Some local travel as needed Use hands/arms to pick and carry product and operate required equipment. Lift objects up to 35 lbs.
