Duties of this position include learning and applying all IHOP-specialized galley terminology, plating, menu items and procedures according to company standards./ppstrongResponsibilities/strong/ppMaintaining a sanitized and well-organized kitchen./ppPreparing workstations for cooking./ppPreparing and maintaining kitchen equipment./ppChecking the quality of the ingredients./ppPreparing cooking ingredients using various techniques./ppCooking food using various culinary techniques./ppArranging food and ensuring appealing presentation./ppManage food storage, stock, and ingredient orders and perform other duties as assigned./ppstrongJob Requirements/strong/ppMust have prior experience as a cook./ppMust be skilled in operating kitchen equipment./ppMust be skilled in various cooking techniques./ppMust know and follow sanitation procedures./ppMust showcase teamwork and communication skills./ppMust showcase great organizational skills./ppMust be able to multitask and act quickly./ppThe above is not an all-inclusive job description. This position requires you to stand for up to 8 hours during a shift, be able to lift at least and/or move up to 30 pounds, and have full mobility of hands and arms while performing repetitive tasks.
