A well-established and growing construction company is seeking a hands on ConstructionAccountingManager to take ownership of both project accounting and day-to-day financial operations. This position is open due to the upcoming retirement of a long tenured employee and offers the opportunity to step into a highly visible role with direct access to company leadership.

Trackcontractvalueschangeordersretainageandbillingschedules.
PartnercloselywithProjectManagerstoensureaccurateprojectfinancialtracking.
Monitorapproximately20activeconstructionprojectsrangingfrom$2M-$5M.
Maintainprojectaccountingrecordsandsupportjobcostingefforts.
Prepareandsubmitdetailedcustomerbillingpackages.

CorporateAccounting&Bookkeeping

ManageAccountsPayableandAccountsReceivable.
Performbankreconciliationsandmaintaincashmanagementprocesses.
Processpayrollandpayroll-relatedreporting.
Preparestatetaxfilingsandsupportcompliancerequirements.
Assistwithmonth-endandyear-endaccountingactivities.
CoordinatewithexternalCPApartnersandsupportaudit/bondingrequirements.

RequiredQualifications:

5yearsof construction accountingexperience.
StrongexperiencewithAIABillingandProgressBilling.
Experiencemanagingchangeordersandprojectbilling.
Musthavehands-onQuickBooksexperience
StrongMicrosoftExcelskills.
Backgroundworkinginasmallcompanyenvironment.
Comfortablewearingmultiplehatsandworkingindependently.
Highlyorganizeddetail-orientedandself-motivated.
