PowerBuilder .NET Developer

Job Summary:

The SCC Powerbuilder/.Net Developer will provide backup support for banking applications, primarily focusing on the FIIS application developed in PowerBuilder, while also supporting .Net applications. The role involves translating formal requirements into database and program solutions, working independently and collaboratively, and adhering to system development policies and standards. Effective communication and adaptability to change are essential. Responsibilities:

• Perform complex system administration, maintenance, and support for production systems.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
• Support the FIIS application (PowerBuilder) and other .Net applications.
• Respond to system alerts and user events, make recommendations, and document findings.
• Design, develop, modify, test, debug, and implement programs and systems.
• Comply with system development policies, procedures, standards, and coding reviews.
• Provide technology turnover and fully document all work performed for SCC staff.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Minimum 4 years of experience with PowerBuilder/Infomaker.
• At least 5 years of experience with ASP.NET, MVC, Web Forms, Blazor, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• 5 years of experience with Visual Studio and Oracle/SQL Server databases.
• 1 year of experience with Web API maintenance (C#, Entity Framework, LINQ).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Visio, SharePoint, and Office applications (5 years).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction and collaboratively as a team.
• Highly motivated and self-directed.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• 3 years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• 3 years of experience working with Azure DevOps or Team Foundation Server.
• 3 years of experience maintaining client-server applications (C#/VB.NET, Entity Framework, Oracle).

Special Considerations:

• Contractor must physically reside within the United States for the duration of the assignment.
• Strict adherence to Commonwealth of Virginia security policies prohibiting offshore contractors.
• Compliance with all system development policies, procedures, standards, and coding reviews.

Scheduling:

• On-site work required three days per week: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
• Work location: 1300 E Main Street.
• Contract duration: October 1, 2026, to October 1, 2027.
