As a Warehouse Assistant at The Resource Connection of Amador & Calaveras Counties, Inc., you will work under the supervision of the Food Bank Director. Your primary responsibilities will include stocking food shelves and assembling food orders that are essential for community support. In addition, you will assist the Food Bank Warehouse Supervisor in various warehouse functions, ensuring smooth operations and efficient service. Proficiency in loading, unloading, and stocking incoming and outgoing supplies is essential. Attention to detail is crucial for accurately completing daily vehicle, inventory, and warehouse maintenance logs, as well as for properly recording weights and disposing of expired foods. Adherence to safety practices and procedures at all times is mandatory.

Successful candidates must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, lift and carry up to 75 pounds, and perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, squatting, and reaching for extended periods. Additionally, the ability to sit or stand for prolonged durations is important. A valid California driver's license, proof of current automotive insurance.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• Maintain Client Confidentiality
• Load, unload and stock all incoming and outgoing inventory
• Complete daily vehicle, inventory and warehouse maintenance logs
• Proper recording of weights and disposal of expired foods
• Follow all safety practices and procedures at all times
• Must be able to work independently with little supervision
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to stoop, bend, squat and reach for extended periods of time
• Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time
• Must have a valid California driver's license
• Must show proof of current automotive insurance
• Previous forklift certification/experience preferred
