Job Title: RN Telemetry I Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum Years of Experience required License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: N/A Description: The Telemetry Nurse provides care to patients with critical or life-threatening illnesses. The Telemetry Nurse monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms. The nurse monitors patient hemodynamic statuses and administers prescribed cardiac medications and telemetry-approved drips. The Telemetry Nurse is expected to recognize and assist patients in shock or those with other life-threatening complications. The nurse assists with emergency and elective cardioversions and the insertion of temporary pacemakers. The Telemetry Nurse interacts with a diverse population, including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Interaction must be effective and appropriate to each individual's intellectual level and physical ability.
