Travel Physical Therapist - Outpatient

American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of relevant experience and a Bachelor's in Physical Therapy for a day-shift assignment.

Job Details

• Outpatient physical therapy setting,
• Schedule is Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:30 PM, with variable hours,
• 40 hours per week, 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week,
• Treats patients of all ages with orthopedic and neurologic conditions,
• Uses therapy EMR for daily documentation and charging,

Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of relevant Physical Therapy experience required,
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required,
• IL PT License required if applicable,
• BLS certification (AHA) required,
• Experience with therapeutic modalities such as ultrasound, interferential, and iontophoresis,
• Experience with taping for stabilization, facilitation, or inhibition of movement,

• Evaluates and treats patients while modifying plans of care as appropriate,
• Serves as a clinical resource and role model for staff and students,
• Designs individualized plans of care integrating goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge planning,
• Performs patient examinations and screenings to determine physical therapy diagnoses and treatment needs,
• Educates patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare providers using effective teaching methods,
• Monitors and provides feedback on care delivered by support personnel,
• Communicates with referring providers regarding patient progress and treatment recommendations,
• Demonstrates safe body mechanics and patient transfer techniques,
• Radius rule of 50 miles applies; local candidates within this radius are not eligible,
• RTO not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
