Job Details Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 12 hours per day, 36 hours per week (12‑hour day shifts 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM) Shift: Day shifts Employment Type: Travel, full‑time position with temp‑to‑perm possibility Requirements Registered Nurse (RN) Minimum 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience Must be able to start within 5 weeks Texas RN license or compact license required BLS certification (AHA only) required Preferred Qualifications 1 year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred Epic experience preferred for charting Trach/Vent and Hi‑flow experience recommended Rehabilitation experience recommended Responsibilities Care for patients on 9th floor (rehabilitation) and 11th floor (surgical and respiratory); current mix of patients on all floors due to census variations Provide routine and complex care utilizing the nursing process Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided Assess learning needs and provide patient/family education Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers Facility This children’s hospital is a specialized pediatric healthcare facility that provides comprehensive medical and surgical services for young patients.
