Basic Job Functions As a Senior Accountant on the Accounting team, you will support the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting. Key activities include journal entry preparation, month‑end closing, operational analysis, tax filing, and assistance with annual audits. You will also analyze account information, reconcile balances, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies while driving continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Assist with accurate and timely month‑end closings and financial reporting Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, resolving discrepancies proactively Perform variance analysis between actuals and forecasts, providing insights to support decision‑making Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Prepare and file tax returns Maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting standards Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field 5+ years of cost or management accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP or financial reporting Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle, SAP) and Microsoft Excel Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Preferred Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing environment CPA or MBA Equal Opportunity Employer Nucor is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer – M/F/Disabled/Vets – and a drug‑free workplace. #J-18808-Ljbffr
