Physical Therapist Location: Highlands, NC Agency: Jackson Therapy Partners Pay: $1,630 to $1,830 per week Shift Information: Days - 5 days x 8 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position Traveling Physical Therapist in Highlands, North Carolina, 28741. Help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions in a hospital setting with a rehab‑focused caseload and a large, fully equipped rehab gym. Minimum Requirements Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA. Active North Carolina state physical therapy license required to start the assignment. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Prefer a minimum of 1 year of clinical experience, ideally with inpatient or rehab‑focused hospital experience. Experience with electronic documentation systems. Cerner experience preferred. Ability to evaluate and treat hospital‑admitted patients with a strong rehabilitation treatment focus (not eval‑only). Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a critical access or swing‑bed hospital environment. Familiarity with lift equipment and large outpatient/inpatient rehab gym modalities. Prior experience providing therapy in non‑traditional spaces, including outdoor settings or simulated home‑kitchen/laundry setups. Assignment Details Shift hours: 08:00–16:30. Set schedule of Monday through Friday. Workflow expectation: approximately one patient per hour; focus on treatment. Documentation system: Cerner. May be required to float to an on‑site long‑term care location in the same building when needed.
