Pay or shift range: $18.50 USD to $20.02 USD The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
Description
As a Cook in our vibrant senior living environment, you will:
- Prepare nutritious, flavorful meals daily that accommodate diverse dietary needs and preferences.
- Collaborate with the culinary team on thoughtful menu preparation featuring seasonal ingredients.
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety and sanitation at all times.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety guidelines in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Foster a welcoming and safe dining experience for residents and team members alike.
- Contribute to the positive dining experience that helps define our senior living community.
Schedule: Full-time, rotating shifts:
- 11:15 AM 7:15 PM
- 6:00 AM 2:00 PM
- Every other weekend required
- Earn a weekend differential premium
Qualifications
To be successful in the Cook role, candidates should have:
- At least 1 year of experience as a cook, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting.
- Experience with menu preparation, portion control, and dietary accommodations.
- A strong working knowledge of food safety protocols and sanitation requirements.
- The ability to work well in a collaborative kitchen environment with a team-focused attitude.
