Cashier

Hourly rate: $18 per hour plus tips. Responsibilities Greet customers with “Bienvenido’s” and a smile. Enter food orders using the cash register POS system. Handle cash and credit transactions. Count money in the cash drawer at the beginning and end of each work shift. Accept cash and return correct change. Maintain a well‑stocked salsa bar, drink cup lids, and napkins before and after the shift. Clean the dining room and cashier station. Maintain beverage fridges stocked and clean. Upsell products such as sides, drinks, and Aguas Frescas. Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant and follow all food safety and health & safety guidelines. Resolve customer complaints, guide them, and provide relevant information. Take pride in serving guests and providing exceptional customer service. Complete other duties as assigned by the MOD (Manager on Duty). Requirements Work experience as a retail cashier or in a similar sales role. High school diploma or equivalent qualification. Proven experience in a customer service role is an advantage. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Good math skills. Basic PC knowledge. Ability to handle cash and credit transactions. Ability to stand for long periods. Able to lift up to 50 lbs. Uphold the company’s mission, vision, and values.
