The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a collaborative and action-driven environment making lasting impacts on the organization. The ideal candidate will support the Program Manager in meeting established program targets and deliverables and successfully completing program objectives. Programs can typically consist of a number of products, special projects, parts, and customer engineering centers, global product development locations and different technology suites.What you will be doing:May interact with the customer on specific program-related information concerning Manufacturing, Design and QualityCommunicate to and coordinate with Manufacturing customer specific requirementsMaintain a working knowledge of customer carlines, Yazaki-supplied parts and Manufacturing / Quality processesCoordinate YPMS task list with the program teamImplement and support continuous improvement activitiesSupport long-range and short-term group forecasts, goals, objectives, and prioritiesSupport other projects, tasks, and/or duties as assignedMay support the Program Manager in the following activitiesLaunch Readiness / Process Sign Off (PSO) Ensure all tasks are performed for launch readiness and PSOCoordinate all customer visits to the manufacturing facilitiesAssist in supplying requirements to ManufacturingApprove all resolutions to the follow-up issues that are presented to the customerCustomer Contact Coordinate and lead for all customer-critical issues while individual departments handle day to day issuesReview program metrics and satisfaction levels recurrently with the customerProgram Scope Coordinate, lead, and initiate the approval of program scope changesReport the management of activities to executive managementScheduling and Tracking Coordinate, lead, and approve the program schedule and tracking process to ensure the program meets the scope and customer requirements, to meet overall program metricsReview program timing and progress toward achievement of targets and goalsCoordinate and lead the critical build phases, while approving support activities to ensure successful delivery of the programPrepare regular reports for presentation to executive management, which address program progress statusMeeting Minutes Schedule program coordination meetings regularlyLead the cross-functional program coordination meetingReview the meeting minutes to ensure timely completion of all tasks“Prime” the meeting minutes/open issues/corrective actions system by entering initial program information into the system.Open Issues Review and assign newly entered open issuesUpdate issues in central tracking systemReview issue statuses between program meetingsApprove all closed issuesClassify and archive closed and approved issues for continuous improvementReview open issues database for continuous improvementAddress any scope, schedule, and budget changes to the program brought on by open issuesEngineering Change: Review and coordinate Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and eventual Process Change Request (PCR) and communicate and coordinate changes with the customer, affiliate and team members.What you will bring to the table:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Management or related field; applicable experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. 2 years of experience in Program Management or related Automotive training4 years of experience in Program Management or related Automotive training preferredAbility to travel both domestically and internationallyAbility to be on call as requiredWhat we can provide you:A collaborative learning environment that will help you reach your maximum potentialA diverse team of expertsSupportive leadership and team members to help you do your best workOpportunities to build your professional networkAn engaging and supportive work cultureCompetitive compensation and benefits package including incentive compensation, 401K match, tuition assistance and a generous holiday scheduleHybrid work scheduleYazaki North America is committed to providing equal employment opportunities for all persons regardless of race, color, religion, sex, age, marital status, national origin, disability, handicap, veteran status, or other legally protected status or characteristic.
