Business Intelligence ManagerThis is a highly visible leadership opportunity for an experienced BI professional who enjoys combining technical expertise, people leadership, and strategic business partnership. The successful candidate will lead an established Business Intelligence team while helping shape the organization's long-term analytics strategy, modernize enterprise reporting, and drive responsible AI adoption across the business.Reporting directly to executive leadership, this individual will work closely with Finance, Operations, Estimating, HR, and Technology teams to build scalable reporting solutions, improve decision-making, and support continued organizational growth.This role can sit on a hybrid basis in Farmingdale, NY, College Point, NY or East Hanover, NJ.Position SummaryThe Business Intelligence Manager will oversee the organization's enterprise reporting and analytics function while managing a team of Business Intelligence Analysts responsible for delivering data-driven insights across every business unit.This role requires a strong technical foundation in Power BI and SQL, combined with proven leadership experience and the ability to communicate effectively with executive stakeholders. Beyond managing the existing BI environment, this individual will help establish the company's long-term BI roadmap and lead initiatives around AI, automation, and advanced analytics.Key ResponsibilitiesBusiness Intelligence LeadershipLead, mentor, and develop a team of three Business Intelligence Analysts.Establish priorities, workflows, quality standards, and best practices across the BI function.Serve as the primary liaison between executive leadership and the Business Intelligence team.Manage cross-functional reporting initiatives across Finance, Operations, Estimating, HR, Safety, and other business units.Enterprise Reporting & AnalyticsOversee the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions.Ensure reporting accuracy, consistency, and data governance across the organization.Build executive dashboards and KPI reporting to support strategic decision-making.Drive continuous improvements in reporting efficiency, automation, and data quality.Data Architecture & IntegrationManage and optimize Power BI reporting architecture utilizing multiple data sources including:SQL databases (Vista/Trimble Viewpoint)Power BI DataflowsSalesforceRiskcastSharePointAzure Cloud tablesCloud SQL environmentsAdditional operational and API-driven data sourcesPartner with IT and business stakeholders to improve data integration, scalability, and reporting performance while supporting future cloud migration initiatives.AI, Automation & InnovationHelp develop the company's AI strategy and identify opportunities to leverage Generative AI, automation, predictive analytics, and machine learning.Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that improve productivity, forecasting, reporting, and operational decision-making.Partner with internal stakeholders and external consultants to support responsible enterprise AI adoption.Executive PartnershipPartner closely with executive leadership to identify reporting needs and business priorities.Translate complex data into meaningful business insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.Present reporting strategies, recommendations, and analytics to senior leadership.Current Technology EnvironmentThe BI environment currently integrates data from multiple enterprise systems utilizing:Microsoft Power BISQL ServerVista (Trimble Viewpoint)Power BI DataflowsOn-Premises Data GatewaySalesforceAzure CloudSharePointREST APIsCloud SQL platformsPower AutomateThe organization is actively investing in expanding its analytics capabilities and modernizing its data architecture while exploring enterprise AI initiatives.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred.5+ years of Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or Data Engineering experience.Previous leadership experience managing or mentoring BI or Analytics teams.Advanced Power BI experience including:DAXPower QueryData ModelingDashboard DevelopmentReport OptimizationStrong SQL experience with relational databases.Experience integrating multiple enterprise data sources.Experience building executive dashboards and KPI reporting.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Experience working within construction, engineering, manufacturing, project-based, or industrial organizations is highly preferred.Preferred ExperienceViewpoint/Vista (Trimble)Construction ERP systemsAPI integrationsPower AutomateAzureAI and automation initiativesData governanceCloud data architectureWhy This Opportunity?Lead an established Business Intelligence team.Highly visible role partnering directly with executive leadership.Opportunity to build the long-term BI strategy for a growing organization.Spearhead enterprise AI and automation initiatives.Influence decision-making across Finance, Operations, Estimating, HR, and executive leadership.Hybrid work schedule (3 days onsite / 2 remote).Flexibility to work from multiple office locations with occasional travel to regional offices.
