The Assistant Team Leader provides leadership for the successful operation of the entire front-end of the store. Responsibilities include associate development, customer service, asset protection, store maintenance, managing payroll budgets, expenses, store banking, shrink reduction, and the timely completion of related reports. The role also involves ensuring store standards, Redbook compliance, and company programs meet all operational expectations, maintaining the front-end, entrance, and exterior of the building, providing daily tasks to associates, organizing office areas, supporting the door to floor process, completing the monthly operational risk assessment, leading safety meetings, ensuring customer service standards meet company expectations, completing price changes, coaching, training, developing, evaluating, supervising, and scheduling store associates, performing all team leader functions to open and close the store, providing leadership with associates regarding donation programs, assisting with hiring, recruiting, interviewing, selection, and onboarding of candidates, and completing any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, minimum of 1-2 years of retail experience in a supervisory role, ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, ability to read, write, and speak English, ability to manage in a professional work environment, ability to exercise sound judgment, ability to preserve confidentiality, accuracy and attention to detail, ability to organize and prioritize tasks, knowledge of industry terms and processes, ability to effectively communicate and delegate tasks, outstanding interpersonal and listening skills, and a positive attitude with the ability to interact well with customers and associates.

Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, push and pull up to 35 pounds, stand for extended periods, bend and twist frequently, grip, reach, and pinch with arms and hands frequently, squat, kneel, balance, and climb occasionally, and see, hear, and speak regularly. Must have the ability to operate a motor vehicle and have a valid state issued license.
