Job Title: Documentation Specialist Location: Hill AFB, UT Job Type: Full-Time Overview: Systems Implementers, Inc. (SI) is a contracted implementation consulting firm performing work at Hill AFB in Utah. The Documentation Specialist is responsible for creating, maintaining and improving user guides and process documentation for enterprise systems and reporting applications. This role works closely with software developers, business stakeholders, and subject matter experts to translate technical information into clear, accurate, and user-friendly documentation. The Documentation Specialist ensures documentation remains current with software releases, proactively enhances existing content, and supports end-user adoption through well-organized and comprehensive documentation. This is a hybrid position, must have the ability to work on-site at Hill Air Force Base some of the time. Key Responsibilities Review technical specifications, test documentation, and navigate the system to self-teach new system functionalities, and translate that knowledge into comprehensive user guides. Synchronize documentation updates with bi-monthly software release schedules, ensuring all materials accurately reflect the latest system enhancements and UI/UX changes. Proactively audit, review, and modernize legacy process and user guides to improve clarity, usability, and overall value for the end-user. Collaborate with development team and SMEs to author comprehensive, easy-to-understand process and user guides for newly deployed system processes and reports. Own the end-to-end creation and maintenance of user guides and process documentation for enterprise Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) system and reporting application. Maintain documentation standards, templates, and version control to ensure consistency across all published materials. Organize documentation for ease of access and navigation, ensuring users can quickly locate relevant information. Perform any additional duties as assigned to support the overall success of the team and organization Required Skills And Education High school diploma and 4 years of experience Three or more years of experience creating technical documentation, user guides, or process documentation in a business or technology environment Detail-oriented and able to work well under pressure Excellent communication skills Ability to interact with people Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office applications U.S. Citizen Hybrid position; ability to work on-site at Hill Air Force Base Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Technical Communication, English, Communications, Information Systems,Computer Science, Business, or related field Certified Professional Technical Communicator (CPTC), Technical Writing Certification, Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) Experience supporting enterprise software implementations or business applications is preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
