Role Overview Fashion Nova Logistics is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Maintenance Technician III to join our Facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining critical facility and distribution center equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. Under the general supervision of the Facilities Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician III will perform advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, equipment repairs, and system diagnostics. This role will work closely with Facilities and Operations to minimize equipment downtime, identify root causes of failures, and support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the distribution center. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical and electrical expertise, hands‑on experience with conveyor and material handling systems, and the ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex equipment issues in a fast‑paced distribution center environment. Key Responsibilities Perform advanced maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of facility and distribution center equipment and systems. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and controls-related equipment failures to minimize operational downtime. Troubleshoot, test, repair, and replace electrical components, including switches, receptacles, ballasts, motors, sensors, and related equipment. Perform mechanical repairs, including conveyor belt lacing, gearbox, motor, bearing, pulley, and component replacement. Troubleshoot and maintain conveyor systems, sortation equipment, and other material handling systems. Work with electrical systems, including 480V 3‑phase, 120V, and 24V DC systems. Troubleshoot and support HMI, PLC, VFD, and other automated control systems. Perform scheduled preventive and predictive maintenance to improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime. Conduct root cause analysis on recurring equipment failures and support long-term corrective actions. Complete and document work orders, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities using the CMMS system. Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and equipment manuals. Inspect equipment and identify potential mechanical, electrical, or safety concerns before failures occur. Follow all company safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Arc Flash, PPE, and equipment‑specific safety requirements. Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local safety requirements and regulations. Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas while supporting 6S initiatives. Partner with Facilities, Operations, and other departments to support equipment reliability and daily operational goals. Assist with fabrication, welding, equipment installation, and facility improvement projects as needed. Work flexible schedules, including weekends, holidays, and overtime, based on business and operational needs. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Three to five years of experience in industrial maintenance, distribution center maintenance, manufacturing maintenance, or a related field required. Electrical certification preferred. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience, including conveyor belts, gearboxes, motors, bearings, and pulleys. Strong electrical knowledge and hands‑on experience working with 480V 3‑phase, 120V, and 24V DC systems. Experience maintaining and troubleshooting conveyor and material handling systems required. Experience with sortation systems, including Bombay and slat boot sorters, preferred. Working knowledge of HMI, PLC, VFD, sensors, and automated control systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and technical manuals. Experience using a CMMS to document work orders, repairs, and preventive maintenance activities. Fabrication and welding experience is a plus. Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to equipment reliability and workplace safety. Ability to work independently while effectively partnering with Facilities and Operations teams. Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance needs in a fast‑paced distribution center environment. Ability to adapt quickly to changing operational priorities and equipment needs. Physical Requirements Stand and walk for up to 12 hours per shift. Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Frequently bend, stoop, squat, twist, kneel, climb, reach, and perform repetitive movements. Use both hands effectively to operate tools, equipment, and machinery. Ascend and descend stairs and ladders as required to access and service equipment. Work around moving machinery, conveyors, electrical equipment, and other material handling systems. Work in a distribution center environment with varying temperatures, airborne particles, chemicals, and moderate to high noise levels. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and comply with all company safety requirements.
