Network Engineer II | Cisco/Arista, On-Call & Travel

What You Will Do: At Independent Software, you will design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure across complex environments using Cisco and Arista technologies. As a Network Engineer Level 2, you will help optimize network performance, support secure communications, and ensure compliance with SSP and STE/STN requirements while working alongside engineering teams to maintain reliable, scalable network operations. This role offers hands-on work with modern networking technologies, performance optimization, and infrastructure modernization initiatives. Some travel may be required, and participation in on-call operational support is expected. Key Responsibilities: Configure, deploy, and sustain Cisco and Arista network infrastructure Support LAN, CAN, and WAN environments including performance optimization and troubleshooting Apply SSP compliance and STE/STN security requirements to network devices Design and implement network solutions including VPNs, firewalls, load balancing, VoIP, NAT, IPSec, and GRE tunneling Monitor network performance, minimize latency, and optimize data throughput Support network upgrades, cutovers, and infrastructure modernization efforts Maintain network documentation, diagrams, and accreditation requirements Collaborate with system engineers, users, and operations teams to resolve network issues Provide guidance to junior engineers and support operational continuity What You Will Do: At Independent Software, you will design, implement, and support enterprise network infrastructure across complex environments using Cisco and Arista technologies.
