Job Description
Registered Nurse - Neuro-focused Intermediate/Stepdown

Schedule

Primarily 12-hour nights, from 18:45 to 07:15. Minimum 3 weekend shifts every 6 weeks. Options for 36- and 48-hour schedules may be offered.

Assignment Details

Contract length is 16+ weeks accepted up to 02/27/2027.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years relevant experience required.
• Travel experience required; first-time travelers are not accepted.
• Neuro stepdown/PCU/IMC/Telemetry experience required.
• NC or Compact license pending acceptable for submittal.
• ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications are required.
• Epic experience required for charting.
• Must be able to titrate LEVO.
• Clinical skills in neuro stepdown care, telemetry monitoring, rapid response, vasoactive & cardiac drip titration, and other specific care protocols are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients with neurological and medical intermediate diagnoses.
• Monitor telemetry and manage dysrhythmia recognition and response.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and other treatments as required.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including IV teams, PT, Respiratory, and Social Services.
• Implement nursing care plans and document patient progress accurately.
• Participate in patient education and support as part of comprehensive care.

Compliance / Notes

Travelers must be open to floating to other intermediate/critical care areas. The facility enforces a strict call-off policy, and RTO after booking is not allowed. Completion of pre-start modules and necessary lab/testing within 48 hours of signing is required.
