Senior Maintenance Mechanic

Shift EngineerThe Shift Engineer is responsible for assisting the Chief Engineer in the plant's equipment and maintenance for the up keeping for the plant. The Shift Engineer is expected to represent Republic Master Chefs with the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.Compensation: $29 an hourAssist in the performance of mechanical preventive maintenance on process and facility industrial equipmentAssist the Journeyman and Apprentice engineers as necessaryPerform basic repairs on non-mechanical equipment such as carts and slingsPerform routine building maintenance such as painting, lighting, and general clean-up of the plantUpdate equipment records on all maintenance performedAssist in inventorying spare parts and tools as directedMaintain and record daily utility consumption meter readingsSafely operate scissor lifts, forklifts, and other material handling equipmentAbility to use basic hand tools for personal useSafely use hand and power tools throughout the facilityMaintain, troubleshoot, and repair process and support equipment within the facilitySafely performs basic machining operations such as threading, drilling, tapping, and grindingAbility to lubricate any machineryAssume duties for Chief Engineer and assists for closing the facility if working 2nd shiftComply with all company policies and proceduresMust maintain regular attendancePerform other related duties as assignedHigh school or equivalent (Desired)Associates Degree or Professional License (Preferred)Lockout/Tag-Out safety procedures: 2 years (Required)Preventive Maintenance: 2 years (Required)Industrial/Production equipment maintenance and repair: 2 years (Required)Laundry services industry experience (preferred)Experience in basic weldingBasic knowledge of mechanical fabricationProficient in English in both written and oralAble to stand for long periods at a timeCarrying tools and equipment of up to 50 pounds on occasionConstant exposure to hazards including confined spaces, chemicals, steam under pressure, climbing, working in positions above and under equipment and throughout and outside of the facilityExposure to reasonable noise level, changes in temperature, odors, humidity, lint, and dustMust be able to wear Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time.This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive, and employees will also perform other duties as assigned by management as required.Medico Healthcare Linen Service reserves the right to revise or change job duties and responsibilities as the need arises.
