Gala & Associates, Inc., a full service consulting Architectural and Engineering firm located in Beverly Hills, MI, is seeking a Sr. level Mechanical Engineer to work with our staff on our Automotive and Heavy Industrial projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead our Mechanical department and provide technical design support to the design team
- Prepare schematic designs, construction documents and specifications in compliance with owners requirements and ensure governmental code compliance
- Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, design analysis and construction cost estimates
- Perform construction related services including shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, conduct field / site surveys and observations
- Collaborate and coordinate design with engineers, architects, designers, owner, product manufacturers, vendors and building contractors as required
- Responsible for insuring accuracy and content of construction documents and coordination with other disciplines
Experience Required:
- Project management
- HVAC systems
- Facility engineering
- Chilled water system
- Hot water system
- Energy utilization
- Fire protection
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Masters preferred
- Minimum 10 years relevant work experience
- Licensed PE
- LEED certified
- Knowledge of industry technical software - Revit a plus
- Strong leadership skills - ability to motivate and direct team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
