Pharmacist in Grover Beach, CA

A healthcare facility on the Central Coast of California is seeking four experienced Travel Pharmacists to join their inpatient pharmacy team. This opportunity offers the chance to work in a dynamic hospital environment providing critical pharmacy services with a skilled interdisciplinary team.


Location: Grover Beach/San Luis Obispo, CA

Job Type: Contract (13+ weeks)

Schedule:

• Two Pharmacists for day shifts, 4 ten-hour shifts per week (7:00 AM to 5:30 PM)
• Two Pharmacists for night shifts, rotating 7-on, 7-off schedule (9:00 PM to 7:30 AM)

Responsibilities:

• Perform order verification to ensure accurate and timely dispensing of medications
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and pharmacy operations to maintain workflow efficiency
• Consult with physicians and nursing staff on medication-related issues and patient care
• Apply pharmacokinetics principles in clinical dosing decisions
• Utilize Cerner and Omnicell systems for electronic medical records and medication management

Qualifications:

• Current California Pharmacist license
• Minimum of 1 year recent inpatient pharmacy experience
• Proficiency with Cerner and Omnicell systems preferred
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
