Civil Engineer

Baton Rouge, LA – Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a highly experienced Senior Water Resources Engineer to manage and execute municipal wastewater and potable water projects. This role involves overseeing project planning, design, permitting, and construction management while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with clients. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in wastewater treatment, pumping, transmission, and collection, as well as underground utility design and hydraulic modeling. Lead the planning, design, and execution of municipal water and wastewater project Develop detailed engineering plans, specifications, and bid package Review shop drawings and oversee projects through construction close-out Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff Coordinate with clients to ensure project success and identify new opportunities Perform hydraulic modeling and design water distribution and wastewater collection system Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and permitting processes Limited travel for client meetings and site visit Requirements/Skills Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution Professional Engineer (PE) license in Louisiana or ability to obtain licensure 8+ years of experience in municipal water and wastewater projects Proven ability to manage projects from start to finish Strong understanding of closed pipe network hydraulics and water/wastewater system Experience with utility relocation design Some experience with CADD is a plus Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skill Physical Requirements Ability to work in an office setting with occasional site visit 100% employer-paid medical insurance (including vision) Health Savings Account (HSA), disability, and life insurance 401(k) with company match Paid holidays (8 days) Vacation/PTO (16 days) Opportunity to earn paid comp time Professional licensure and society membership reimbursement End-of-year bonus opportunitiesRelocation assistance may be available for the right candidate Additional Information This is a salaried, in-office position based in Baton Rouge, La Relaxed and collaborative company culture Small office environment with 20 employees Equal Opportunity Statement Flexicrew Technical Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer; employment with FTS is governed on the basis of merit, competence, and qualifications.
