To obtain all necessary information from both inpatients and outpatients to initiate treatment and billing by completing data entry and clinical information into the registration system. Job Description Enter and/or verify all information into Medipac registration system Verify eligibility for all insurances utilizing electronic verification systems Complete Medicare Secondary Payer Questionnaire for every Medicare patient Screen all Medicare outpatient lab patients for medical necessity Offer financial assistance and do quick financial screening application for all uninsured patients Enter admissions for any ED admission Update departed emergency patients Tear down and assemble ED record Contact AultWorks for any workman's compensation patient Memo all pertinent information regarding billing and insurance into Mpac system Assure that Medipac System and Cerner system are in sync at all times Comprehensive knowledge of the following systems: MPAC, Cerner (FirstNet and SugiNet), AultWorks, RevRunner, RQI, Bed Tracking, HealthWorks Compliance Checker Follow all hospital and department policies Qualifications High school diploma, minimum Ability to type at least 35 wpm Familiarity with medical terminology, useful Ability to work calmly and accurately in stressful situations Excellent customer service skills Professional manner and appearance Working Conditions 24/7 coverage Every other weekend and every other holiday Co-coordinated lunch and break periods Close working relations with clinical staff Constant walking utilizing Wireless on Wheels computer Continual involvement with patients and their families Ability to assist patients in wheelchairs and transport if necessary Assigned uniforms to be worn at all times Blood and body fluid exposure: 3 #J-18808-Ljbffr
