This is a full‑time Monday‑Friday position (8:30am‑5pm) with no weekends, call or major holidays. What does the Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) do? Under general supervision, the RN provides professional nursing care for patients, adhering to national and company standards and guidelines. The RN recognizes the physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of care, participates in company‑wide quality initiatives, and supports compliance with the US Oncology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards. Responsibilities Plan, implement, coordinate, evaluate, and promote continuity of care consistent with established standards and practices. Assess health status by interviewing patients about current status and medical history. Assess patient/family needs and provide teaching and other instructional material. Provide psychosocial support to patients and families. Facilitate clinical operations and patient care. Manage patient medication refill requests from the pharmacy line and record the information in the patient chart. Facilitate and schedule consultations, pre‑testing, diagnostic tests or procedures, referrals, and future appointments for patients. Triage patient phone calls as needed and document relevant information in the patient chart. As necessary, facilitate communication between patients/families and the interdisciplinary team and coordinate services related to patient care. Assist patients in locating available community resources. Collaborate with LPN/LVNs and medical assistants. Qualifications The ideal candidate will have the following background and experience: Education / Training Level I Graduate from an accredited professional nursing education program (BSN preferred). Hold an RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Maintain continuing education requirements. Entry‑level – 0‑3 years nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred. Level II Minimum three (3) years of nursing experience; oncology experience strongly preferred. Level Senior In addition to Levels I and II: Minimum five (5) years of nursing experience, including at least one year in oncology strongly preferred. Oncology certification preferred.
