Responsibilities Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital in Wildomar, California , is a licensed 122-bed facility accredited by the Joint Commission. It is Southwest Riverside County's only designated Trauma Center and a county‑designated Paramedic Base Station. The hospital performs more than 4,000 surgeries a year, and has an average of 4,000 Emergency Department visits per month. The hospital features a Bariatric Weight‑Loss Surgery Center of Excellence and the region’s only Total Joint Center. Southwest Healthcare Rancho Springs Hospital in Murrieta, California , is a 120‑bed acute‑care hospital with the region's only Pediatric Emergency Services team (for children 14 and under) provided by board certified Rady Children’s emergency medicine physicians. Rancho Springs Hospital also provides the area's only OB/ED program, which gives expectant mothers 24/7 on‑site access to OB/GYN physician coverage. The Childbirth Center at Rancho Springs Hospital is the largest in the region and features spacious family‑friendly private suites. Rancho’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is operated by Rady Children’s. The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for providing evidence‑based nutritional care to patients within an inpatient healthcare setting. This role includes conducting comprehensive nutrition assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and monitoring patient progress in collaboration with the interdisciplinary medical team. The Dietitian ensures nutritional interventions align with medical diagnoses, treatment goals, and regulatory standards. Additional responsibilities include educating patients and families on dietary modifications, participating in quality improvement initiatives, community outreach programs and maintaining accurate documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). Employee may be required to float to the other facility within Southwest Health Rancho Springs and Inland Valley Hospital based on operational needs, with appropriate orientation and competency validation provided. Qualifications 1. EDUCATION Completion of all academic and supervised practice requirements as set forth by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and Commission on Dietetic Registration with a minimum of a master’s degree in food and/or nutrition related field granted by a USDE accredited institution or foreign equivalent. Only those seeking to become eligible for the Registration Examination for Dietitians for the first time, on or after January 1, 2024, are required to have completed the minimum of a master’s degree granted by a USDE accredited institution or foreign equivalent. Individuals who established eligibility for the Registration Examination for Dietitians on or before December 31, 2023, or those who are already registered will not be required by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) to obtain a master’s degree. 2. CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES Maintains Certification in Food Service Sanitation by the Department of Health. Registered with the Commission on Dietetic Registration or Registry Eligible status as a Registered Dietitian. If Registration eligible must pass the Commission on Dietetic Registration exam within 6 months of hire. 3. EXPERIENCE Previous experience as a Clinical Dietitian preferred.
