Overview TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a travel job in Portland, Maine. We are looking for an Interventional Radiology Technologist (IR Tech) for an immediate travel opening in Portland, ME. The right IR Tech should have 1 year of recent acute care experience. Job Details Specialty: Interventional Radiology Technologist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: 06/01/2026 Duration: 13 weeks Hours: 36 hours per week Shift: 9 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities Operate fluoroscopic equipment and assist physicians with minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. Prepare and observe patients undergoing procedures and report abnormal activity. Confirm patient identification, review imaging requests, explain procedures, and provide reassurance and support as required. Assist in scrubbing all diagnostic and interventional procedures. Monitor patient during all procedures. Demonstrate knowledge of radiation protection standards, devices, and techniques to maintain safeguards for patients and staff. Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to radiologic procedures to interpret examination requests accurately. Operate intravenous (IV) and dye injector pumps as required. Maintain accurate patient records and understand the McKesson PACS system. Qualifications Must have 1 year of experience in a related role. BLS, ACLS, and ARRT (R) National Certification and state-specific licensing when required. Vascular Interventional certificate preferred. Ability to stand and walk for long periods; ability to bend, lean, or stoop as needed. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology and medical terminology. AR RT (VI) certification preferred where applicable. Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment. Additional Information TotalMed Allied Job ID #1410418.
