Purchasing Agent - Columbus

• Under direct supervision, receives, stores and issues property and supplies.
• Manages, administers or coordinates property and inventory control.
• Checks purchase orders for accuracy, completeness, and clarity.
• Collects bids.
• Conducts physical inventories.
• Coordinates the purchase of equipment, services and supplies from established vendors.
• Engages in receiving, storing, and shipping all types of materials and supplies.
• Maintains inventory control and maintains inventory control records.
• Processes field purchase orders.
• Reviews and audits warehouse records and reports.
• Reviews requisitions to verify if merchandise is contracted.
• Screens, receives, stores, inventories and distributes surplus property

High school diploma/GED and one (1) year of job-related experience in inventory, purchasing, or supply chain management; or Six (6) months of experience at the lower level Purchasing Agent Technician (FET039) or equivalent position.
