In this crucial role, you will help prepare the operating room, maintain a sterile environment, and assist the surgical team during procedures. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the safety and success of surgeries and the well-being of our patients. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize the operating room with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment
- Maintain a sterile field during surgery and assist by passing instruments to the surgical team
- Perform accurate surgical counts before, during, and after procedures to ensure no instruments are left behind
- Assist with patient positioning and prepping the surgical site
- Clean and restock the operating room after each surgery
- Follow infection control protocols and adhere to safety standards
- Document surgical counts and patient data accurately in the medical records
- Collaborate effectively with the surgical team to provide optimal patient care
- Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
- Current BLS certification required
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments, aseptic techniques, and operating room procedures
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask
- Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment
