First Baptist Church of Bosque Farms is a warm, close‑knit Baptist church founded in 1943 and rooted in Christian doctrine and committed to serving both our congregation and our surrounding area. FBCBF has grown in faith and teaching, modeling Christ-like character and encouraging whole-life discipleship over multiple generations. Role Summary

We are seeking a godly, capable, and compassionate pastor to shepherd our congregation. The pastor will be a spiritual leader, preacher, teacher, counselor, and visionary, as a collaborating member of our church’s elder leadership to guide us into the next season of growth and service in our community.

Key Responsibilities – 1 Peter 5: 1 – 4

* Preach and teach the Bible faithfully, with clarity and relevance for all ages.
* Lead Sunday worship services, including coordinating with music/worship teams, and oversee ordinances (baptism, Lord’s Supper) and special services (weddings, funerals).
* Shared pastoral care with eldership: visit the sick, grieving families, newcomers; offer counsel and support.
* Work alongside church eldership to set vision and strategy for ministry, outreach, discipleship, and church growth.
* Shared eldership duty to oversee and equip ministry leaders and volunteers (children’s ministry, youth, adult discipleship, community service).
* Promote a culture of discipleship, evangelism, and service within the congregation, encouraging members to live out their faith in the community.

Qualifications

* The pastor must fit the guidelines of a biblical overseer and shepherd, as written in 1 Timothy 3:1 – 7, Titus 1:5 – 9, 1 Peter 5: 1 – 5, and Acts 2.
