Bring your expertise in special education to an engaging, contract-based opportunity supporting students in the Beaufort, SC area for the 2026-2027 school year. Three onsite Special Education Teacher positions are available across elementary, high, and middle schools, each offering a unique focus: Intensive Support at the elementary level, and Supplemental/Resource roles at the high school and middle school levels.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with a dedicated educational team and work directly in school settings to help shape meaningful learning experiences. The contract spans from early August through late May, with a consistent weekly schedule.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (applicable to South Carolina requirements)
• Experience in K-12 special education environments, preferably in resource or intensive support classrooms
• Strong ability to individualize instruction and adapt curricula to student needs
• Proven skills in developing, implementing, and tracking IEPs
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities to collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families
• Flexibility and adaptability within dynamic school settings

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small-group instruction based on students’ IEPs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and administrators
• Document ongoing student progress and participate in IEP meetings
• Adapt teaching strategies to foster social, emotional, and academic growth
• Support a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
