Staff Accountant

Staff AccountantThe Staff Accountant will concentrate on month-end close activities, reconciliations, and consolidations. Additionally, this role will support the international accounting, validations, and the global consolidation system. The position involves close collaboration with accounting and finance personnel across multiple countries, as well as several department heads.ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly activities including journal entries, reconciliations and financial statements and schedulesAssist with administering the global accounting consolidating systemProvide support to external auditors and tax preparers as requestedPrepare monthly validation files for multiple international entitiesContinuously identify opportunities for improvement on existing accounting processes in order to help develop greater department efficienciesResearch technical accounting literature to ensure proper accounting treatment is followedPartner with multiple departments and operating stations to help them understand their monthly financial performancePerforms other duties as assignedComplies with all policies and standardsThe wage range for this position is $73,660-$110,500 and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.QualificationsEducation • Bachelor's Degree (Required) Experience • 2+ years in an accounting role (Required) Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities • Office suite HighAbout AIT WorldwideAIT Worldwide Logistics is a global freight forwarder that helps companies grow by expanding access to markets all over the world where they can sell and/or procure their raw materials, components and finished goods.
