Registered Nurse - MS/Tele

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00). Availability required for every other weekend and holiday if needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) on the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit will provide high-quality patient care to individuals with various medical conditions. This position involves monitoring patient vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with healthcare teams to deliver effective treatment and interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assessments in the MS/Tele department.


• Administer IV therapy and blood products as needed.


• Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond to emergencies.


• Manage airway and oxygen needs for patients.


• Ensure adherence to isolation precautions and wound care protocols.


• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to discuss patient progress and care plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active New York Single State RN license required.


• Must have current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.


• Experience in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and cardiac monitoring is essential.


• A minimum of 1 year of experience in a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry setting is preferred.


• EPIC charting experience is required.
