Ophthalmic Technician

Assists ophthalmologists, optometrists, opticians, and physicians.

Job Responsibility

• Performs routine vision screening.
• Administers eye medications.
• Cleans ophthalmic instruments and equipment.
• Prepares and maintains treatment rooms.
• Performs related duties as required. All responsibilities noted here are considered essential functions of the job under the Americans with Disabilities Act. Duties not mentioned here, but considered related are not essential functions.

Job Qualification

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current Ophthalmic Technician Certification preferred, plus specialized certifications as needed.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience, required.

When determining a team member's base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity). The salary range for this position is $51830.00-$79300.00/year. Salary reflects full-time employment and would be adjusted for part-time or per diem employment based on hours worked.
